How to access assessment data

Introduction 

Assessment data can be accessed from SIMS schools via the Wonde API, the full details of how to access this data can be found in our API documentation 

We will retrieve assessment result data based on your configurations due to the high volume of assessment data stored within the school's MIS. 

Schools can set up templates themselves, or alternatively, this can be done within the app portal via the two methods below, Manual selection or Regex match.

To start, log in to the App Portal and select ‘Schools’ in the left-hand menu. Find the school you would like to set up and navigate to the ‘Assessment’ tab. 

Note: Only users with the roles of Owner, Admin, or Developer can update assessment templates. 

Manual selection

You can select the templates you need within the school's MIS. The search functionality will help you identify them. 

Once you are happy with your selection, select ‘Save Changes’

A confirmation message will display and if you are happy with your selection, select, ‘Confirm’. 

Regex match

Regex is a powerful tool that automatically matches assessments based on the pattern you specify. You can extend the pattern to capture multiple assessments at once - for example, using English|Maths would match any assessments containing either subject, eliminating the need for manual selection. An added advantage is that any newly added assessments fitting the pattern will be included automatically.

Enter the search term you would like to match into the ‘Regex match’ option, you will then see the templates that currently match, if you are happy, select ‘Save changes’. 

Note: if any templates match in the future match this regex in the future they will also be included. 

Non-SIMS schools

The extraction of assessment data is only supported for SIMS schools. For further assistance, please submit a support ticket.

I can’t access the assessment tab for an approved school
